The Law of Attraction has become hugely popular because it is so simple and yet so powerful. The Law of Attraction is understood to be a powerful law of the universe, like the law of gravity, which suggests that our thoughts attract all the situations, people, misfortunes, successes, setbacks and triumphs we experience in our lives. So if you constantly think about how terrible you are with women, your brain will seek out all the information, people and places(and there is an infinite amount of information to seek out), which confirms your current paradigm in which you see yourself as terrible with women. If ,however, you apply the Law of Attraction, and start visualizing yourself as confident, comfortable and successful with women, you give your brain and your consciousness the incentive to seek out all the information, people, and places which confirms that you are in fact confident, comfortable and successful with women. (If you are a woman, then just replace the word women with the word men).
Visualization
While this may sound simple enough, you could find all of this information a little bit vague. In order to successfully apply the Law of Attraction, there are several techniques you can employ to do so, the first of which is known as visualization. Visualization is extremely powerful, and plays a major role in every successful person's life. Even if people do it unconsciously, when you daydream about what you want, think about what you want, envision yourself as the person you want to be, create your desired future inside your mind or simply write down a goal, you are actually using the power of visualization.
Visualization is the process of seeing the situations you want to experience as already happening inside your mind. To enhance your visualization sessions it is best to employ rhythmic breathing, and then direct all of your concentration toward the situations you want to experience as already happening in your mind's eye.
Time Delay
You may find yourself questioning when the results of all visualizing may start to appear and here it is important to note that there is a definite time delay between what you visualize and what you experience but, if you practice visualization for more than 3 weeks, I am confident you will begin to notice changes in your life. These change will be subtle at first but will grow and grow and grow until one day you find yourself living out the exact experience you have been visualizing constantly. The word 'constantly' is important because successful application of the Law of Attraction requires that you consistently practice visualization in order to see change occur in your life. It is best to visualize once in the morning and once at night for about 5 to 10 minutes. Anything on top of this can be considered a bonus and you can simply congratulate yourself for being so dedicated. It is actually quite exciting when you start visualizing while you are stuck in traffic, having a bath, waiting in line or stuck in a particularly boring conversation. Instead of just wasting this time you can put it to tremendously good use by visualizing all the things you want in life.
The Reticular Activating system (RAS)
One of the reasons visualization is so powerful is because it activates the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in your brain, which plays a huge role in which information you filter into your conscious and unconscious experience. What Neuro-scientists have discovered over the past twenty years is that the human brain takes in several billion bits of information, but can only consciously interpret several thousand bits of information. You might then think of the brain as a pair of binoculars focused on a particular spot in reality, and that by visualizing you move the binoculars to focus on a different spot, where all the environmental information relevant to your desires and accomplishments exists. This is best explained in terms of a bird watcher who will spot 10 birds for every 1 bird the average person will see when walking through a forest. The reason being of course that the Reticular Activating System(RAS) of the bird-watcher is better trained, functioning like a magnifying glass which zones in on all the birds, while the focus of the average person is scattered and misdirected.
Conclusion
"The possibilities of thought training are infinite, it's consequences eternal, and yet few take the pains to direct their thinking into channels that will do them good, but instead, leave all to chance."
More than anything, the Law of Attraction says that you are responsible for everything you experience, and it is by taking this responsibility for your life that you will achieve success in personal health, wealth and relationships. The first step toward accepting this massive responsibility is to take control of your thoughts, made up almost entirely of energy and having a power far greater than you may ever have imagined.
